Worry

“Cast all your anxiety upon Him, because he cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7

Trouble

This past week has been a week of worry for quite a few people in my life. And the mix of things go from worrying about something small that is going to happen the next day and be over in ten minutes, to life-changing adult issues that could, and probably will, affect the rest of their lives. And, to be honest, I’m pretty proud, because I think this is the most chill I’ve ever been in my life. 3 years ago, it wouldn’t have been the same story. 3 years ago, I would’ve been a wreck. I would’ve have been worrying, and racking my brain on how to help all these people. But, I’ve really grown in the past three years. I’ve learned that God shows up. I’ve learned that the ONLY thing I can do sometimes, is pray about it and trust that God is going to put his hand in there and sort it all out. I have also learned that God is going to fix it, however he’s going to fix it, and that I need to trust what he does. Not all of my concerns have worked out the way I thought, or in a way that I feel is right, but I also know that I can’t see the big picture, so eventually, someday, it’s all going to make sense.

What does God say:

Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs him down, but a good word makes him glad. – Proverbs 12:25

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God – Phillippians 4:6-7

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. – 1 Peter 5:7

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. – Proverbs 3:5-6

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will hold you up with my victorious right hand. – Isaiah 41:10

And, as I’m sure, many of you have heard in your lives, the Bible is quoted to have said, “Fear not” 365 times, which is one for every day of the year. Why? Why should we fear not? Because God has promises, and we need only to remember them.

The Lord will fight for you, you need only to be still – Exodus 14:14

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. – Isaiah 40:29

Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed, – Isaiah 54:10

Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. – James 4:7

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. – 2 Chronicles 7:14

The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. – Deuteronomy 31:8

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. – Jeremiah 29:11

So, if the Son sets you free, you shall be free indeed – John 8:36

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. – Mark 11:24

And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. – Phillippians 4:19

I called to the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and I have been saved from my enemies. – Psalm 18:3

The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. – Psalm 34:17

God is putting his hand on your life. God will step in for you. God will show up. God will be there, if you only let him. God has got it all under control, and you just need to pray for the peace that surpasses all understanding in Christ Jesus, to let him do it. Humble yourself to the Lord, and ask him to fix it, and to give you the peace to stand back and let Him.

You know, it’s always so incredible, and part of why I love my blog so much. There are weeks, where I totally know what I’m going to talk to you guys about, and then there are weeks like today, where I literally sat down in front of the computer without a clue of what we were going to discuss, and sometimes it’s just a word, and sometimes it’s everything that’s in here – just comes pouring forth from my fingertips. That someone who reads this, it’s exactly what they needed to hear. That God is speaking to you. I’ve received so many incredible testimonies of people moved by what is shared here. And, I pray that it continues, as long as it needs to. I pray that God continues to use me as a vessel to help others see his glory and his grace and his overwhelming love for all of you. That it may bless you and keep you, just as the ever-loving Father intended.

Let’s Pray

Dear Heavenly Father, you are such a good God, and I thank you for all that you are. I thank you, that you are actively working in our lives and that you care for us. I thank you for the opportunity to share with these people and help them grow in Your word. You are so incredible and amazing, and I thank you that you sent your Son that we may be your people. I just want to pray for anyone reading this, that they may see you Show UP! That whatever is troubling them may be overcome by you. That you are the Victor, Father, and that we need only to trust in your word and in You. That your blessings may pour out on our lives, that we become so blessed we don’t know what to do with ourselves but share the testimonies and victories with others that they may receive your blessings too. That you are the great and glorious God of all, and the SAME GOD who blessed Abraham, and the SAME GOD who sent his Son for us and raised Him from the DEAD, is the SAME GOD who is blessing us today. That NOTHING is too big for You God, and we need only to be still and let you have your way with us, and in us, and around us. May we be so blessed that all we can see is YOU. Thank you. Thank you for your blessings. IN JESUS’ NAME! AMEN!!!
